Do you have a passion for textiles? Have you wanted to learn a textile related skill? A class might be just what you need to carve out the time or get motivated to cultivate a new creative passion.
Diana is a patient, kind and motivating teacher who is experienced in working with people of all ages (including children) and skill levels. Whether that be a complete beginner or someone more advanced, Diana would be excited to share with you. Come on your own or make up a group with some friends. 1-3 pupils generally works best.
FELT CLASSES
Get your hands on to gorgeous merino fibres and yarns. Learn how to make flat felt. At the end of the session take home your own uniquely designed, hand crafted wool table runner. Alternatively book in for a longer session and make your first wool scarf. No prior knowledge required.
Follow on classes are available for more advanced felting such as pouches, prefelts and nuno felting (felt and woven cloth combined)
- Felting classes require the student to stand for extended periods and relies on upper body mobility.
DRESSMAKING CLASSES
Would you like to make your own clothes?.. Or make cushions, or just learn how to use a sewing machine? Perhaps you would like specific instruction for a particular project you have in mind. Absolutely no experience is required. We can start from the beginning.
BOUTIQUE WORKSHOP – HELLO SEW!

$160 private class, book when it suits you and have my undivided attention for all your sewing needs.
$115pp in a group of 2-4 Lots of individual attention but with the fun of someone else sharing the journey.
This workshop is for those who would like to gain a better knowledge and confidence of using their sewing machine. It is also a great starting point for those who would like to learn how to sew. Come along and I will show you in a relaxed space the basics to get you started. Understand how to set up, thread up and sew with accuracy. Learn, but also practice yourself what each stitch is used for and on what fabric. Find out what any extra bits and pieces that come with the machine are used for. Let me answer your particular questions.

Fabric, thread, notions, notes to take home, use of sewing machines and sewing equipment. Just bring yourself.
Individual tuition (limit of 4 students, so no waiting around for help)
Children 10yrs+ welcome. (and yes I have my Working With Children Card)
If you choose to bring your own machine, please arrive 10mins early to set up your machine.
BOUTIQUE WORKSHOP – SURFACE DECORATION, UNIQUE JOURNAL
Try your hand at perfecting satin stitch. Add to this by experimenting with colour and a variety of materials and stitches. The result will be a decorative texture to make a stunning journal cover.
Art Stitch classes
These classes are about developing a cachet of techniques to be able to produce your own textile art pieces. Hand/machine stitch, stencilling, fabric crayons and 3D are some of the areas to be explored. How to get started on ideas and developing pieces into artworks is also covered.
